Abstract

The present experiment was carried out study the effect of teak, eucalyptus and casuarina tree leaf and root leachates on the growth of green gram, black gram, chickpea and cowpea. Results were affected significantly by tested parameters. There were both stimulatory and inhibitory effects were seen on the crop growth by the tree leachates. The inhibitory effect of leachates was greater during the early stages of crop growth (15 DAS) and in later stages, the effect was reduced. And some of the parameters show stimulatory effects at later stages.
